World of Warcraft Free to Play

This may probably sound very unexpected but the Blizzard team is actually considering making the MMORPG King, World of Warcraft Free to Play. Blizzard Spokesperson cited Free Realms "Micro-Transaction" Model, where instead of a monthly subscriptions, players would pay for premium items, mounts etc..

I personally think it would hugely boost Blizzards customer base, but the likelihood of it happening is slim. My guess is they may keep the subscription but also offer a Free to Play option where if you want to improve more and more, you can use the "Micro Transaction Model".

Here's to hoping it does actually go Free To Play! That would Rock!
